Interview

The first person I interviewed was Ann Marie Campeau, Osceola High School’s math teacher. I chose to interview her because she has a lot of experience with doing group projects. She runs our high school’s National Honors Society (NHS). I sat down with her and told her about my project. She loved the idea and was willing to give me advice and help me with my projects by allowing me to get volunteers. She helped by making sure that I didn't go overboard. She had written down my ideas and helped me simplify them, but still made it fun for everyone. She helped me make a list of what I wanted to do for each activity, how much money it would cost, how many people there would be, the time, the day, and how many volunteers I would need. She has always been a loyal and committed person.

The second person I interviewed was Lachelle Dahlstrom. She is a resident services assistant at Christian community homes. She is an extremely hard worker and cares for the residents. I asked her what the best and worst parts of her job were. She said the best part was “building a relationship with residents and being able to care for them in a way that she would want to be taken care of.” The worst part was “learning how to comp with the grieving residents because it is a different type of grief, and dealing with the constant stress, having medical problems happening on a shift like a seizure.” While working here, Lachelle has to do many challenging jobs. In those jobs, you need strengths such as being open-minded, attentive, and performing well under stressful conditions. While working here, she learned new communication skills with difficult people, from residents to coworkers. Lachelle chose to work here seven months ago because she has always been interested in working in health care. Being a resident services assistant gave her an excellent opportunity to understand how healthcare departments work.
